maxime. is a self-released, -produced and -engineered artist who makes music from his bedroom. his left-of-centre music retains infectious pop sensibilities: its instruments are lush; its polish is colourful and distinctive.
maxime. released his debut, whatevernowiscalled – an expansive, 18-track project whose soundscapes capture his genre-blending appeal – in 2019; the album has since recorded 10M+ streams globally. its follow-up, cerulean (december, 2020), saw him taking risks and finding himself, sonically, the former electronic artist bringing his songwriting to the foreground. having relocated from ottawa to montreal to purse music, in march 2024, he released his third full-length project, the life and death of a dog.
